[edit]Upload images
To upload an image do following:
Upload images by using "Upload image" link (orange link in Main Navigation, on the left) or this URL http://www.ultimate-delux.org/Special:Upload)
- Step 1: Source filename: "Browse" to the image file(s) on your local computer.
- Step 2: Destination filename: Either leave default image name or put a more appropriate one
- Step 3: Summary (optional): It would be VERY useful if you enter some description of the image
- Step 4: Check in "Ignore any warnings" checkbox
- Step 5: Press "Upload image" button.
From now on, this image can be referenced from any wiki page by entering: [[Image:%IMAGE-PAGE-NAME%]]. Use help to learn how to reference image from wiki page/
An image in wiki is treated as any other page. Therefor %IMAGE-PAGE-NAME% is nothing but page name, of a special page that wraps image. %IMAGE-PAGE-NAME% can be found on top of the image page (header of white area of the page), as a big bold text.
[edit]Personal homepage
Following instructions explain how to create a personal player/website-user homepage:
- Step 1: To begin with, either go to:
- - an existing homepage (for example: http://www.ultimate-delux.org/User:john.doo ),
- Step 1.1: Click "Edit" link (top right corner).
- Step 1.2: COPY all text from the edit text box (this text will be used later to PASTE it into your homepage).
- - or, take a blank template from Template:Player. Read the instructions on that page.
- Step 2: Go to your homepage by typing http://www.ultimate-delux.org/User:%USER_NAME% in browser. This %USER_NAME% has to be replaced by your real username. For example, in case of the user who strangely identify himself with username "john.doo", homepage would be at http://www.ultimate-delux.org/User:john.doo.
- Step 3: Click on the link "edit this page". If there's no such link, that means you're already in page editing mode, so just skip to the next step.
- Step 4: PAST the text (that you copied from other user's homepage) into the edit page text box.
- Step 5: Change all relevant info (your name, age, experience, contact). Add as much as you want after the template form (template form ends with last occurance of "}}" characters.
- FYI: All that is surrounded with "{{" and "}}" is called template form, that you provide with your info, and the template form does the rest of formating and sexy look.
- Step 6: Click "Show preview" button to see how it looks like.
- Step 7: Add/Modify as much as you want, and go to see preview (Step 6).
- Step 8: Once you're satisfied with the content and the look, go save/publish your page - click "Save page".
Referencing to your homepage
From now on you can reference to your homepage by entering following text in any wiki page on the website (for example the Ultimate deLux Team page):
- [[User:%USER_NAME%|%TEXT-TO-DISPLAY%]]
as in example: [[User:john.doo|John]] ), which is displayed as John.
If you link from an external site, use http://www.ultimate-delux.org/User:%USER_NAME%
Entering photo and national flag image in profile
To upload photos of you and your national flag do following:
- Step 1: Upload images (photo and national flag) Help:FAQ#Upload images
- Step 2: COPY image page name (bold header-page-name text from the homepage of your photo, for example: the image page name of this image: http://www.ultimate-delux.org/Image:Scottish_flag.jpg, is "Image:Scottish flag.jpg". This text has been taken from the top of the page). Absolutely the same procedure is for any other photo, including the photo of yours.
- Step 3: PASTE image page names into template form
- for PHOTO enter: | photo = Image:%IMAGE-PAGE-NAME%.jpg (for example: | photo = Image:John-doo.jpg)
- for FLAG enter: | flag = Image:%FLAG-IMAGE-PAGE-NAME%.jpg (for example: | flag = Image:Pirate flag.jpg)
- FYI: If the nationality field is specified and there exist an flag image with the name "Image:%NATIONALITY% flag.jpg", the flag field doesn't have to be specified, the flag image will be assumed by default.
- Step 4: Preview the look of the page by pressing "Show preview"
- Step 5: Once you're satisfied with the content and the look of the page, press "Save page" to save and publish it.

Email address spam protection
Now, for the email address, just enter your email address (if you want, it's optional) surrounded with "[mailto:" and "%YOUR-EMAIL%]" (example: [mailto: firstname.last@email.org firstname.last@email.org].
After this, webmaster will do the rest (convert it into protected image that is hard for scanning from evil automated-robot-email-addresses-collectors-and-spammers)

You want to contribute, but don't know how? Go to:
- list of all "stub" pages, and/or
- list of all pages with short sections, and start expanding listed pages one by one. Don't stop before you "kill 'em all".
- Create your own player homepage.
[edit]POP3 access
To access to a "%USER_NAME%@ultimate-delux.org" mailbox over POP3 protocol (aka from your local email client as Outlook, Thunderbird etc...) use following access data:
- Mail Server Username: %USER_NAME%+ultimate-delux.org (*)
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.ultimate-delux.org
- Outgoing Mail Server: mail.ultimate-delux.org (server requires authentication)
- Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
- Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

- (*) "%USER_NAME%" to be replaced by a real user name whose mailbox is accessed (for example: john.doo+ultimate-delu.org to access to john.doo@ultimate-delux.org mailbox).
- (**) The password is required for access. Please contact admin@ultimate-delux.org, for initial passwords).
